I'm mulling over a smaller front T20 kit, but would enough people want it? At the moment we have a kit that's 284mm / 15" wheel on the Mk1 Punto and 298.5mm / 16" wheel on the Mk2.

Are there people who'd want one that's 257mm / 14" wheel Mk1 Punto and 273mm / 15" wheel on the Mk2? This would use the Mk1 Punto Turbo standard disc!!!

Thoughts please......? (it would be handy for the Chinq and Uno lads as well I assume?)

That would be interesting to some im sure, some people like to stick to stock wheels etc. Maybe start a new thread in your sub forum Keri with a poll.

Could be an idea - I started that wheel size poll before but I didn't make a distinction between Mk1 and Mk2!

    Just a few tempting updates!

First up, a (one-off for the moment) T30x monster kit that'll fit the Mk2 Punto, using a standard 305x28 Coupe 20vT (Brembo size) disc - shown here with the 16" Fiat Coupe OEM alloy, a look I like:

Also here's some in-car footage of one of our customers running the T20 caliper / 298.5x28 kit at Spa on a Mk2 HGT, note the supercar-slaying!

    And brakes like hell!!

I'm the customer from Holland wich Keri is speaking of

If you guys want a full review, just ask.

    In a nutshell:
Keri spend a lot of time making a correct bracket for my (and everybody elses) HGT '03. He gave the orders, I did the measuring

After some weeks he came up with a package and send it over to me.
Immediatly we mounted the kit. After some easy breaking and gently warming up the discs, I put some more power to the brakepadel.... I was amazed!!
Hard breaking like I never seen before on a HGT!

Shortly after the roadtests it was time for trackdays
The first time round Zandvoort with the new brakes took 4 seconds of my personal best. And this wasn't even with max brakingpoints

Now, a full year and 10 trackdays later, still a smile on my face when braking!
They even survived a full hour of max speed on Spa, the hardest track in Europe on the brakes

The kit is worth every penny and I recommend it to everyone who isn't willing to pay the full price of a Brembo or Tar-ox kit. Even if you are willing to pay them prices, I still advise WMS!!

If I can be any help to anybody by answering questions of putting up pics, just let me know!

    Grtz.
    Ronald

Hi Ronald, good to hear from you and thanks for the feedback! Ten trackdays a year, that's cool...

4 seconds is a nice number as well.

Any photos of the car in action?

    Hi m8!

Send you an e-mail some days ago, but I quess you didn't received/read it?

This hobby is taking ugly proportions and is addictive as hell
I ty to attend Zandvoort 5 times a year and Spa Francorchamps in June. Zolder (Belgium), Assen (Netherlands), The Green Hell and the green hell are on my wishlist for the near future and if I get the chance a nice track in your country

The WMS-brakes gives me a nice advantage on chasing/breaking my personal best. My new limitation these days is me, not the brakes I still have some meters to spare on the brakingpoints.
The only 'downside' of the brakes: it brakes so hard that my tailend is getting loose on hard braking, but nothing some gentle steeringworks can't manage. Makes the funfactor a little better

    Thanks for the photos!

You'll love the Green Hell - it's amazing, I didn't get much of a chance when I went (it rained and there were crashed Audi TT's and Porsches all over the place) but I WILL be going back!

So the back's getting loose under braking, that's either too much rear bias (unlikely!) or more likely you've got really sticky tyres and loads of grip so you're getting a really good weight transfer forward under braking. More grip = faster deceleration = more weight forward = more front grip/less rear grip.

An adjustable bias valve to the rear might help you tune the car a bit - you want to reduce the rear pressure slightly in the dry if it's getting loose at the brack, but in the wet you can't brake as hard = less weight transfer = normal grip, so the bias needs to go back to standard to stop the front locking too early.

    All good fun!
