    WMS 4-pot brake kits

Hi, just a thread to show the WMS 4-pot brake kits for the Mk1+2 Punto! MUCH lighter than the Coupe/Brembo stuff...(see photos lower down)

PSC paid members get 5% off the basic kit, and free UK zone 1 shipping is available if payment is by bank transfer. PayPal etc is fine as well, but no free shipping (uk zone 1 shipping becomes £10.00+vat)!

There are quite a few options, each "kit" includes calipers/brackets+inserts/discs/bolts - pads and line are extra (to see if a kit will fit your wheels open it's PDF, print it out, check the scale is 1:1....and offer it up inside your wheel!).

    Kits (2014 prices):

    4P042 Mk1 Punto inc GT - 284x22 size kit (printable clearance test profile: 284x22 kit PDF ) = (£435.98+vat RRP - 5% PSC Paid Member discount) = £414.18+vat

    4P152 Mk2 Punto inc HGT - 298.5x28 size kit (printable clearance test profile: 298.5x28 kit PDF ) = (£474.61+vat RRP - 5% PSC Paid Member discount) = £450.88+vat

    4P007 Mk1 Uno inc Turbo - 284x22 size kit (printable clearance test profile: 284x22 kit PDF ) = (£438.06+vat RRP - 5% PSC Paid Member discount) = £416.16+vat

    FULL FIAT LIST:
    4P007 - (284x22mm) Uno Mk1
    4P042 - (284x22mm) Punto Mk1
    4P140 - (284x22mm) 131
    4P150 - (298.5x28mm) Coupe 2.0 16vT (and others, but not 20vT)
    4P152 - (298.5x28mm) Punto Mk2

    ...with versions to fit...

    Fiat 124 (284x22mm)
    127 (284x22mm)
    128 (284x22mm)
    Cinquecento (284x22mm)
    Barchetta (284x22mm)

    ...in the pipeline...

    4P153 - (305x28) Prototype Coupe 16vT T30x
    4P154 - (257/260mm Potential Mk1 Punto
    4P155 - (298.5mm) Potential Mk1 Punto
    Rear kits.

    Full Compatability:
The kits are direct replacement / upgrades for the standard brake setup but it may need bigger wheels than standard and might need wheel spacers depending on the wheel design...... 284mm kits in 15" and 298.5mm kits in 16" wheels are often ok. I've generated a PDF file showing the profile of each kit, the idea is you can print one, check it's 1:1 scale, stick it to card and cut it out - and offer it up to the inside of your wheels to see if the kit will fit! Like this:

    Power v Piston Area:
Kit has the correct piston area (4x 1.38" diameter for most Puntos, 1.62/1.75 on the Turbo etc if they had the factory 54mm piston caliper) to give an increase in power without dangerously affecting brake pedal travel. Here are the piston size options:

    1.25" piston calipers
1.38" piston calipers (6.6% area increase over 48mm Punto/Uno calipers)
1.62/1.75" piston calipers (25.8% increase over the Punto Turbo/Coupe 54mm calipers!)

Kit contents: (we offer pads and lines seperately, not included in the kit)
    - 2x Lightweight WMS Billet CNC machined Aluminium 4-pot racing calipers
    - 2x Stainless steel CNC-machined caliper mounting brackets (to be revised soon)
    - 2x Vented 284mm x 22mm or 298.5mm x 28mm discs
    - 8x High tensile bolts with washers

As you can see here, the WMS kits (and especially brackets) are a lot lighter than the Brembo setup - this is the 284mm kit on the scales:

    Optional Extras (2014 prices):
    - Fiat-to-WMS braided lines with teflon inners by Earls UK (AKA Goodridge) inc "straight" fittings: £35.39+vat/pr (NEED CHECKING ON EACH CAR!!)
    - 45-deg angled fittings for caliper end of hose if needed: £TBC+vat/pr (NEED CHECKING ON EACH CAR!!)
    - 90-deg angled fittings for caliper end of hose if needed: £TBC+vat/pr (NEED CHECKING ON EACH CAR!!)
    - Grooved discs are offered as a service, and add £40.00+vat/pr. (price lowered)
    - EBC Red pads (fast road / "200bhp+") are £38.08+vat/pr
    - EBC Yellow pads (fast road / track) are £44.01+vat/pr
    - EBC Blue pads (race only) are £45.20+vat/pr
    - EBC Orange pads (fast road / track) are £53.24+vat/pr
    - Ferodo DS2500 (fast road) = £61.20+vat/set
    - Ferodo DS3000 (race) = £62.22+vat/set
    - Mk1 GT 94-97 EBC Red Rear £TBC+vat/set
    - Mk1 GT 97-99 EBC Red Rear £TBC+vat/set
    - Mk1 GT 97-99 EBC Yellow Rear £TBC+vat/set
    - Mk1 GT (both years) rear 240x11 discs £20.74+vat/pr
    - UK shipping = £FREE (if settled by bank transfer, £10+vat if by PayPal)

    SPARES:
    - Replacement 284x22mm (Punto Mk1 etc) discs are £45.54+vat/pr
    - Replacement 284x22mm (Uno etc) discs are £49.41+vat/pr
    - Replacement 298.5x28mm (Punto Mk2 etc) discs are £101.82+vat/pr

NOTE - It's popular (particularly in Germany with the Uno version of the kit) to order without the discs and buy Zimmernan ones locally - this is fine and drops the price quite a lot. Also this will make shipping cheaper! Another option is for us to to upgrade you to EBC grooved/dimpled discs. Please get in touch for more info on custom / upgraded kits.... NOTE: All WMS Fiat kits assume that the heat shield is binned / rusted away, so the brackets are designed to mount directly to the strut/lugs without sandwiching the shield.

Not as yet I'm afraid, but we will look into it (298.5mm / alloy bells probably) as there is probably a need given the power levels angry snails can generate!

    OK thanks.

What about other brands of pads/disks?

What info would we need to be able to look at other manufacturers? I'm not a fan of EBC you see.

Not a problem! We can offer our own grooved discs, and being a standard motorsport shape there are pads to fit available from:

    - EBC
    - Mintex
    - Ferodo
    - Hawk
    - Wilwood
    - Pagid
    - Performance Friction
    - Carbotech

    ..and possibly more I've forgotten!
