Both of those are stunnig chris but i think i would go for the cupra.....look more modern....as they are. I love the audis but the shape is vey old and quite common now.

Need to test drive a Cupra R and an S3 before I make up my mind though.

That's the thing...
I'm finding it hard to chose between a Leon Cupra R and the S3.
The S3 has the 4wd and the much better interior, but the Cupra has the better looks.
Both same power, S3 is cheaper to insure.
Mind you I need to test drive them both first.

if it were me id get a focus rs
All of those cars around around the £10-12k price range and about the same on insurance.
I like the Focus, but I think I prefer the VAGs.

I would go for the A3
I know they are common but one it that colour with that interior would definitely stand out from the rest.
How about a VW Golf R32?
The R32's are still £15k+ and the insurance is quite high.

go for the AUDI looks way better nice interior etc, and plus you will be orginal as no one has got one on here compared to the cupra
