Hey guys and girls.
Can anyone please tell me if the Punto GT Turbo 1.4 block is the same as the UT 1.4 block? Is the punto block a straight swap fit into an Uno? Will the engine run fine with no problems, just like an Uno block?

Its the original engine design. The GT was about the last car fiat used it in after been highly tunable in the Unos.
Designed int he late sixties and was the first convential engine to have its gearbox side by side as most cars are today.
Why do you ask? surely be easier sourcing an Uno lump then faffing with a GT one? im sure there are plenty or minor differences taht as a whole would make it difficult to use with the Uno's equipment.
Thanks for that bud. It's really hard to source any part for an Uno T, let alone a block. Theres a Punto block on ebay at the mo, which I was thinking on getting. But If you think I will have a lot of problems, than I won't bother!?
