is the only thing thats not gona fit the front bar that follows the line of the windscreen. The other bits will be fine wont they?

That should be ok, it's the b pillar loop that's the problem.

Why not cut out the b pillar section and then make it a bit lower while your there weld another diaganol acccross the back section to make and x.

For guidance I have a custom built one in my mk1 escort which cost me £800 to my own design, so £250 is well worth it, factor in another £100 or so for the mods and your sorted!
