yeah that a good speed on a private road parkers reakons top end on it is 107mph btw
i have a 99 mk2 1.2 16v sporting, i had to travel alot today and gave the sporting a real hammering!!! i was surpised that i hit 120mph at two different times (on a private road just off the motorway). i thought the dials were out but the sat nav was reading about 118mph/117mph and thats usualy a couple of miles under the speedo.
i just cant beleave that a 1.2 could do 120mph.
has anyone else had this sort of figure out of a sporting?
what is the maxium speed for a sporting give by fiat?

it is possible i had mine off the clock b4 on a private road. had me mate in the car at the time and he cudnt believe it
My sporting is flat out at 110-115 that was last time i was on track. I find it very hard to believe that other sportings can go faster. Its all to do with gearing in the end, mine was nearly in the red.
O and by the way mine is chipped and mine struggles over 110 ie wont go very much faster
sounds like you got some nice speed out of the lil 1.2, but please be careful what you admit to on the interent these days. did no one read the paper last week!
70 mph is the limit on the motorway, i have4 rarely exceed this and if i have its only been by a couple of mph, i do all my high speed stuff on the track
