    Blink test

    Hi everyone
    i've been searching the site to find info on doing a blink test on my gt1 turbo and i can find alsorts apart from how to actually perform the test !
    If anyone could give me a link it would be greatly appreciated.

    i remember seeing a video on youtube of someone doing it on their gt... there are dozens of threads on this site about it but hard to find the one with instructions , keep searching you will find

    GoldiePunto did mine, all i remember is u take a bit of wire and stick it in a plug and the other end on some metal. Sorry i cant be more specific.

    Switch Ignition on, Follow pic..




    I think you place a wire in the blue bit? (someone correct me if im wrong)
    Place on inlet for 5secs, then remove then run to the cabin and count the injector light flashes. Count it a few times just to make sure.

    Then look in the Turbo section to find your fault...

    Earth the blue & white wire and as y2dom says, earth for 5 secs and run (or even better get someone) into the car to count the 'blinks' of the injector light. It will flash once at the beginning and once at the end too, so don't count these.
