    New Grande Punto 1.9JTD Sporting

I'm thinking of buy a nearly new Grande Punto 1.9 JTD Sporting but can't make up my mind whether to get the Carribic Orange or not. Love it in the showroom but I can I live with it?! LOL

Also I've heard that the 1.9 JTD engine can be remapped from 130bhp to 190bhp - anyone got any experience of this?

    Thanks

Yes, 190bhp is a little optimistic I feel.

I've ordered a 1.9JTD Sporting and I've looked in to it. Angel Tuning do a remap for 170bhp and 303lb/ft.

    Got for exotic red

Yeah I think the orange looks fantastic! I'd have to have the orange interior to match though.

Celtic tuning quote 190bhp but 160bhp ain't bad either is it!

Just got to wait for some cash to go through then I think I'll be off to see what I can get...!

This is a better link to the remapped power details - Celtic are definitely claiming 190bhp!

Well, fairly easy to prove on a rolling road I suppose. I'm going to look into prices and other tuners too.

Got a test drive next weekend. My local FIAT dealer is terrible - they have no demo car at the weekend as it's the service manager's company car! Doh!

Hope it's more reliable than my 1991 Uno too...

I had the same dilemma with colours, I decided in the end, after having seen 1 orange one on the road and 1 in another dealership, it was a bit loud for me to leave parked up anywhere, in Birmingham city center ive no doubt it would get keyed for example! I decided it looked superb but would annoy me after a while, looks hot on someone elses car though lol!

yeah, celtic tuning map to 190hp 303 lbft torque. low 7s to 60 probably arounmd 18s to 100mph 1/4 mile very low 15s if not high 14s I would imagine and in gear times will be fairly smart lol
