Exclamation What dump valves can do to people

Before you make judgement, this was on the day the car was sold. Going round a rounadabout and some guy was 'giving it beans' in the fast lane of a dual lane carriageway. We were driving along at ease in the slow lane when this guy came on the radar so we sped up to make sure we got into the correct lane of 3 lanes at the roundabout. This guy dropped back and got into the slow lane to get off on the 2nd exit (straight) whereas I was going off on the 3rd exit (right)

Roundabout becomes clear so we both pull off and I go off in first upto a reasonable pace when I change gear and the DV goes off, I change gear then go on my way. The driver has his window down, and upon hearing this decides to give it beans. Now for some reason my mate in the back decides to turn around to look at the car as we commented on how clean it looks and that it appears to have been well looked after.

Anyhow, my mate turns around and says "that car has gone into the shop!"

In disbelief we carry on, whilst my mate tells me how the rear of the car hit the central reservation and was aimed right at the shop and it went straight in. To see if he was telling the truth we headed down the road, turned left and made our way back to the scene when we see this...

So we park up and take a look up close to see if we could see any damage...

The shop owners and various members of the public were there so we figured we would not need to be there. So we go about our business and on the way back we decide to take a gander at the scene to see if there has been any updates. We park up and see the full damage...

We got talking to someone there and it transpires that he was not wearing a seatbelt and his clutch foot ended up on the dash, breaking his leg. Also the car itself was an auto so if he had decided to give it beans it was more than likely that when he hit the car it was in a high gear so when it was aimed right at the wall, he would have dropped the gear and pelted full throw into that front.

Upon closer inspection, I think we found out why he went at light speed into the shop...

The lesson here kids? Wear a seatbelt.
