    Shurruup

Me and COOG was onabout his Missus' 1.2 16valve and he says it couldnt pull you out of bed...

As for the 172 Ben, you clearly dont want to sell you GT, if you dont buy the 172 you wont know your missing out, your GT will kill a 172 upto silly speeds and if you get to a courner earlier you can afford to take it that bit safer lol.

**** the V6 off its crap, shows what happens when a company whack a stupid engine in a car.

The Williams is the only one worth having imo.

hhhmmmmm I used to have a punto gt 3 back in the day, 2001-2004 lol, and i've currently had my 172 CUP sice i sold the punto. Obviously the punto in question sounds a lairy tool, but as an all round package the cup wins. The handling is awsome, and with it being better in stadard form will alway be better than the punto.... coilover a punto.... coilover a renault sport clio, and its still better. The punto is easier and cheaper to tune as its turbo'd (i had a full seb 2 set up), but a throttle bodied clio will give ~230 BHP, and is very reliable and usable. They are not a nightmare to work on, so dont listen to the above posts...... has he ever changed a turbo on a gt lol!!!!

some pics of my old turbo,

LOL Gaz. Looks like you've done the same as me and taken a breather from ClioSport, eh? Well, for an hour or two....

For a 172 (regardless of mileage) it sounds fairly expensive. There should be quite a few more out there for less money, that aren't necessarily sheds.

Just make sure that if they are past the 36k - that they've had the major 36k service done. Quite a biggie that as the front bumper needs removing and stuff (iirc) so the labour charges bump up the prices accordingly.
