What do I need to do next to access the computers files.

PS both computers are part of a fix network
if you do have his Ip address, its easy peasy from there!

Go to a DOS prompt amnd type in:

    nbtstat -a {ip address} then hit return.

This will give you the PC name.

Then all you do is go to a browser enter \\{computername}\c$ and voila...you can see his entire hard disk, so long as he hasnt secured his machine!

That way above should still work, especially if they are on the same network.

I met secured as in locked down so NO-ONE can access the PC except the logged on user...which is not how Windows machines come as standard!

But on how to hack Windows machines, Google is your friend! LOADS of info out there, and I have loads of tools if needed!

for example.... a house near me has an encripted network. "fester"for example...... if you log onto your own router and enter "fester" into the wep-keygen... it will give ou a hexi bunch of numbers (silly people tend to use the same thing as there password also lol). there when you rescan the area and try to enter the "festor" network it will ask for the wep key.... enter thenumbers from the hexi keygen and if your lucky (or the person is dumb) you'll be given an ip address..... and even better you be able to access the net..

now when you get a ip address like .192.168.0.34 (default netgear ip range)

enter 192.168.0.1 into your address bar and you should be prompted to enter the router login user name and password..... (if ther person hsn't chnged it) its ADMIN then password.....

now ur in.... change your workgroup to WORKGROUP or MSHOME (default ms workgroups and you'll be able to see files if there shared) once you can log onto the router you can block them! lol

not hackin' as such. just usin' ur head... sorry for the long post.....
You might want to try hacking a 802.11b network when you have the 10Gb worth of lookup data to crack every key. Or even packet sniffing the 802.11g packets over the air so you can trace the router model and force a buffer overflow to show the contents, now that is proper hacking.

    1. Loose all your friends.

    2. Reside entirely in your bedroom.

    3. Buy and actually read impossibly large books on linux.

    4. Dissassociate yourself from your entire family.

    5. Develop a fondness for typing things like 'l33t' (even if you're not sure what it means).

    6. Masturbate furiously, regularly. Over a copy of 'Linux Undressed'.

    7. Loose all concept of the English language and instead speak entirely in binary.

    That should do it.

First to decode that wins a congratz.

BTW..you could always just wait until he is not about and switch on his pc. boot the pc into safe mode. You then have access to his pc with basic functions...need I explain the rest.
