    I want a 2.0ltr punto

    was that a road trip to germany just to do that?
    always wanted to do that. what sort of money did it cost you all together?

    fiat already have plans to build a 2ltr turbo punto, so in a few yrs, you'll be able to buy 1 second hand. around 230bhp if i rememeber correctly

    fiat already have plans to build a 2ltr turbo punto, so in a few yrs, you'll be able to buy 1 second hand. around 230bhp if i rememeber correctly

    More fun if you build your own!

    totally agrree, but its probably a bit more reliable if you buy 1 from fiat

    Its interesting watching the video. The one thing that really stands out is that with all the power your ALWAYS backing off because the chassis just cannot handle it and goes into understeer.

    taht engien braking kind of charcteristic then? I noticed you arnt on the power a great deal, everytime somethign went buy i was like " GO ON ****ING THRASH IT BACK IN FROOOOONT"

    Tuned puntos are great fun in a straight line. But round corners its wasted, the chassis cannot carry the speed without going into some sort of uncontrolled under/oversteer.

    Chris has plans to spot weld up and stiffen his whole chasis IIRC to toughen it up!

    wow that a major job!

    Would only think that it would stiffen the chasis by only a small factor

    Spot weld it up and fit a full cage to it, with strut braces and uprated anti-roll bars is going to stiffen it as much as you can!
