Area meet notification

How about an option where users can state where they come from as listed in the local area meet section.

Then if a new thread is put up in there, they get a notification to tell them something is hapening in there area?

You can do it manually at the moment, but I don't know about making it automatic.

If you subscribe to new threads in a particular forum, you will get a notification of it.
