mmmmm its getting close and im looking like i wont be ready
It is now definately going ahead, there seem to be **** loads of people interested now and it's stirred up quite a bit of noise with the clio and saxo lads from what I hear.
I am organising "classes". I need some suggestions for them please, and serious ones preferably as I want to try and organise this as professionally as possible. I don't know whether people will take notice of me but I'm wanting to make this a decent meet.
About a week before the meet, I shall ask everyone who is serious for the car they are taking, their power output, and the type of engine they're running. I shall then draw up a rough outline of who is in which class, and which mk (1 or 2). Then any saxos or other cars that come along can either blend into the power bands or join in the free for all after the initial classes.
Hopefully everyone will agree with me on this. If the day goes as organised I shall round up everyone's times afterwards and post the winners, losers and so on into a table when I get home that evening.
I am currently thinking along the lines of being:
<100 bhp
<120 bhp
<150 bhp
<180 bhp
>180 bhp
then... possibly:
mk1 v mk2 comparable cars
(and the important one) gt vs hgt of comparable power.
free for all
I'll finalise nearer the time.

Surely it would be better to run the cars in classes
IE
55/60's
Sportings 85
GT's 130 +
etc etc
Just my idea
GT vs VTS vs 172
Sporting vs VTR vs Clio 1.4
75 vs West Coast vs {clio equivalent ~ 1.2)
55/60 vs Saxo 1.1 vs {clio equivalent ~ 1.1)
Put me in with the big boys :P
won't work as you just que up with everyone else, and dont know who you will be against till rite at the end
it should work because you agree to race people before you get in the queue!
I've seen it done before and santa pod organisers had no issue with it.
Winners in Bold, assuming all standard cars or with simple mods

Then further split them up into Standard vs Modified.
