    Unhappy PC Keeps Crashing?!

Randomly & for no apparent reason my computer keeps crashing & displays a blue screen with a load of text on it, with some mention of the computer over heating...

Anyone else had this? How can i stop this from happening? Thanks - will.

Unsure of spec - its apackard bell, couple of years old & the fans appear to be working.

It'll do it a fair few times in one week & then stops for a couple of weeks, before returning again the next... Seems very random & can be really annoying if im in the middle of something important. (like half way through a wank....)

So it overheats while watching porn? sounds like the video files are making the CPU work hard and you don't have good enough cooling.

    lol, that was a joke.

It can do it at any time - even if ive left the PC doing nothing, or i could just be typing a word document - its completely random. I never work the PC hard enough to warrant over heating tbh...

Have you checked the fan & heatsink, you'd be surprised how much crap gets sucked into the PC may just need a good hoover.

Hmmm... might just take it apart & give it a good clean up then - see if that stops the problem.

Download MBM5 Motherboard monitor, and see what temp the CPU is actually running at.

Take the sides off the case and see if that lowers it enough. If not de-dust the heatsink and fan(just blow hard on them) and see if that improves it.

If not new heatsink and fan time!
