what is the best thing about owning a fiat punto? wether its turbo or non turbo, petrol or deisel. whats the best thing about yours in particular?
i love it wen someone pulls up next to me and think ive got a 1.1 punto. and then i take off and leave them for s*h*i*t and they dont understand why!?!?!? love the look on their face when they finally catch up lololol
Round this way the GT didnt used to be well known. However due to lower prices, everyone knows someone with one now. Back in the day, when I first got the GT no one knew what engine it was, so I loved it when people came over and asked what engine I had dropped in, then asked for a look coz they didnt believe it was a 1.4 8v! The amount of people that say "oh yeah its the same engine as a 5 turbo isnt it" is quality.
i like the style/shape of them,when i went to look for a punto i was looking at the mk2's,but a nice shiny mk1 white t reg sporting caught my eye.so i had it.
then i wanted more power so thaught why not have a gt.they look nice in the std trim imo,colour coded skirts,dark wheels and nice bull horns(headlamp washers).
the sleeper aspect of the GT

It is my 1st proper nice car, so it has a special place in my heart.
So under estimeted. Went on a cruise to Leicster with Cruise Notts, my first cruise, i left the saab turbo infront for dead and the guy when we got there wearily asked if id have it in a race. "yes mate" them 6 beemers, only thing there the peedily punto defo wouldnt murder and bury was an integra.
The fact everyone thingks its a 1.2 1.2, then as soon as you boot it away people try to keep up, and cant.
I love the look on peoples faces walking down the street when they look all around for what is making that monster sound, probably expecting a supercar to go flying past them but they just see a little punto grumble past. gets them every time.
just knowing that 99% of boy racers that try it i would most likely kick their asses raped if i wished to unleash the power, the fact that 98% of the time i dont makes me feel all the more powerful because of the "could of and would of" value.
other reasons is the sounds the exhaust system make, what must be going through peoples minds as they look in the rear view mirror. nuff said
