Thats your own stupid fault, theres some very simple checks to do before an MOT and thats in the list.
Plus the punto has a warning light when your break light is out!

Well to be completly honest I bought a new set of stop bulbs last weekend in Halfords. I was aware that one of mine bulbs was gone for a looooooong time heh. They cost me 2.49 for pair. I changed them straight after back home, both were working fine. And they are STILL working fine, all you need to do is to punch a rear cluster a little bit and it is lighting again
And I do not have that warning light. I am 55S owner
And other thing is I didn't fail because of plates, that's odd. I am 100% aware that they are not road legal because of spacing.
And YES, I will have another go for free guys. Passed on everything but stoopid bulb that's very odd. Even emission test was amazingly good
... and my MOT will expire ... 20th of September so still have plenty of time
Not too bad then. Sounds like a dodgy connection on the back of the cluster. Take the 2 bolts out and check whats going on.
I will do that tomz after work ... or when dogs will catch me hehe
I would just do it mate! Dont encourage them to get you it's not worth it!
Like Baz says, dodgy connection ... Have a look see what goin on and maybe even clean the connections with a fine sand paper aswell as it wont do no harm !
