I think having a standard car with loads of power is better also a laugh if it looks cr*p as you would lest expect it to burn past you

I have to admit it would worry me but its a drag car and i dont think thats a concern for him. People dont poke fun at formula 1 cars because their engines blow up before the race has finished. If his engine makes 50 1/4 mile passes and then pops i doubt whether he will be upset. I'll ask him to start counting all the sub 13sec runs

with the right setup and sufficient fueling and cooling it should last for ages.
Its using the strong closed deck block.
But the gearbox wont last long, and the rods if not steel would snap fairly quickly.
