Nokia 6280 T5 dictionary problems

seem to be having a few problems with the predictive texting on my 6280.

custom words i spell into the dictionary are not always saved. a few odd words have been, but most havent. even the most common ones i use don't seem to get saved.

anyone else experienced this? its very annyoing.

Yes matey same problem here, really getting annoying now. I havn't been able to find any sort of setting in the menus anywhere regarding the saving of custom words into the dictionary. My only other theory was a lack of memory on the phone since it only seems to come with 7MB, but deleting unused media files did little to resolve the issue.

i'm already transfered everything to the memory card.

i tihnk its a software problem.

might go to nokia shop and ask them if there is a software flash for it.

Most probably a software problem yep.

Incidentally, if rather than adding a word when attempting to type it in a text you add it manually (options > insert word), the word seems to save without a problem. But this is more of a work-around than a solution.
