i was insured on my mums for years but i wish i had of just paid over the odds sometimes from the begging as it makes it easier later on

Dont think so mate cos i have my policy but my dad is a named driver. I am the one who earns the NCB, he is just on there so is always insured (and for some reason with certain companies this brings the price down)
cool i thought that you had to be the named driver to earn the NCB thats how it worked for me maybe diffrent for diffrent companies
