i think your find you can still like cancel the cheque upto 2 weeks iirc, its a pain but i think its possible.

the same thing is happening to me, i did a bank transfer and im still waiting. bearing in mind the easter holiday
that royal mail may be behind, either way ive been waiting 2 weeks for my item to arrive
im still giving the person the benifit of the doubt as he has a good record with other people who have brought from him.
i just hope im not the unlucky one who has been ripped off!
