driving along at 40 the other night on a dual carriage way (thats the limit btw) a golf 1.8t comes up next to me and dumps it, we both had our windows open so i heard it pretty loud. he drops back and then speeds up next to me, and dumps it again waiting to get a reaction /race i think (im guessing he thought mine was a normal punto as its not badged up etc and i was driving slowish) so as he drives a little bit in front of me, i drop it in 2 and dump it next to him and he looked suprisedlove it! then he goes 180 back around the roundabout probably looking for a race but i carry on pottering along lol
i supose these would beat a punto anyways?

Its the diesels you really need to watch out for, my dads GTTDI is pushing about 180bhp and is pretty rapid!

@chris g on tdi's. i got a taxi last week after a nite out, and this one was a passat 1.8 superchiped he said, about 180hp and fook me, it flew off the lights! i think it would have whopped my puntos ass. it was so smooth!

MK4 GTI's came mostly in 150Bhp form, and they were as you said, a house on wheels. They also did a 180Bhp version, which is fairly rare, and again, pants!
