AO48s are the dogs danglies for road legal cut semi-slicks. You have to be a bit careful with standing water but I've raced round Mallory park in the pissing wet and they still gave great grip. In the dry though they're fab.
You won't get best use out of them on the road, but as a track day set on spare wheels they're excellent (just need to strengthen the suspension componants as the loads will be comparatively high). Only start with 5mm of tread so these are virtually new.
