my mum just got a new GTI for a company car, i took it for a spin last night and was told not to rip it cause the engine was still breaking in, hehe, boy did i rip it!!
quite a quick car it's a 2ltr turbo with all the extras and the stupid gear things on the steering wheel which i thought were terrible. the sports mode on the auto box was much better.
i didn't really like it overall cause to be honest i have always hated golfs of any kind, this one is a big old lump but it does shift.
i will have to have a go against it later in the week.

He's hardly voiding warrenty by driving it, is he?
Does it need runnin in?
Is it gonna have an oil change at 1500miles on the clock?
No. No. And i guess, no.
True, you are probably safe ragging the tits off a new engine from VW. Ignore me, just talking **** as usual, but I'm sure there are cars out there like this.Originally Posted by KAS
it did come straight from the factory and they said it needed running in a bit, but they probably all say that from brand new.
