No its not too late, though I would not guarentee 100% results when working with a dastek, you'd need to disconnect it. The chip will set the values for your engine then the dastek will change them.
Your ultimate option is DTA standalone or megasquirt on your gt to replace all the bosch stuff.

Edit to remove people that no longer want. Im feeling that 3&4 will be removed as well as 5. 3&4 said they sent a cheque 2 weeks ago and arent that bothered. So I might just or away.
