    Drove a Grande Punto today.........

........... and wasnt too impressed to be honest.

They didnt have any Sportings so i got a 1.4 Dynamic Petrol 3 door.

Feels a well built car, but not really very fast, in fact i'd say the 1.2 8v engine in my car felt quicker.
very big inside however and the clutch is near enough non-exsistant, very quiet and smooth car, a doddle to drive but quite boring.

Was a lovely Navy blue colour though.
My GF and my mate had a drive of it and they both agree the mk2 is a far better car!

But hey, everyones opinions will be different though, bring on the Turbo!

no one likes the 1.2 or 1.4's you need to drive one of the diesels.

I went to see it today, lovely looking car, like it lots!

They said they would be getting a Sporting in about 4 weeks, may go back and have a go when they get it in!

dont get me wrong, it is a very nice car, this particular one had only done about 400 miles, so the engine would have still been a bit tight, but i do honestly prefer the 2b.

However, if they ever get round to launching the Turbo, ill be wanting a shot of that as it will probably be my next car (As ill be able to afford to insurance by the time i get rid of my current Punto lol)

I test drove the 90bhp 1.3 diesel yestrerday and thought it was suprisingly quick. Cornered nicely, really nice ride quality and it's pretty well built. I just adore the styling though! I'm going to have a go in the Sporting when they get it...and may well buy one!
