think there 100bhp
How fast is a standard Saxo VTR compared to a standard 1.2 16V sporting (mk1)?
i cant find out what bhp VTR's are, i think it because theyre all owned by chavs claiming 150bhp.
think there 100bhp
i think the early ones are 90bhp and the more later ones had some tweeking to make 100bhp
VTR's are faster and have superior handling and brakes.Originally Posted by teddismith

and the vts is 130bhp,
i think saxo looks awsome just dropped on there arse
thats it, nothing else, drop it 60mm and my god its like a go kart
VTS is 120 same as the 10 GTi isn't it?

yer i thought VTS were 120, jus didn't know what the VTR's were, dont know weather to get a sporting or a saxo.
But everyone has got saxo's and their mostly all chavs so i am thinking of a sporting as puntos do have some style about them!
sporting of course.
cheaper to run, cheaper tax, looks better, isn't as chavvy as a saxo, better build quality (french cars fall apart)
my opinion of course

VTR vs Sporting i'd take the VTR.
It looks more modern and up to date, it isn't as boxy as the mk1 puntos, they don't need much done to them to look nice (slammed). Tuning wise you can do a decent amount. They'll beat a sporting in a straight line and around corners.
I wouldn't say a VTR had worse build quality than a Spoting tbh, they're about on par - both pretty bollocks.
The nly down side to owning a saxo (in my mind) is the stigma attatched to owning one. If you can put up with that get the saxo.
I was looking at this sporting;

What do people think to that?
I do like saxo's but everyone has them now and dont want to be classed in the saxo driver catagory!
