Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not

Got this today, I've been left a bit gutted because I had the demo version (almost the same songs but a bit ropey and raw sounding, in a good way) and this one is far too "polished" and you can tell it's been altered a lot to appeal to a wider audience.

I also got the Strokes new album - First Impressions Of Planet Earth. A couple of really good tracks but the rest are going to be growers I suspect.

I would recommend both to any Indie fans but try and get a hold of the demo version of Arctic Monkeys'.

Do you mean that you dowloaded the album or did you buy it? Didn't think it was out till 30th Jan?

Get the demo one - it's much better - if you can Catbob.

Sounds like they've been groomed for the mainstream. What a shame.

You just bludgeoned the nail on the cranium. The album is being released early now too because of the hype. Hopefully they'll maintain the energy from the demos I have in their live perfermances as I'm going to see them twice in the next few weeks.

i bought it yesterday, simply because it was £8.97 in tesco's and i was interested to see what the fuss is all about.

Its a very good album, i can imagine they will be great live too!

i would recommend it to anyone!!
