I think it sits along the inside of the standard bumper, these might get bent if in a crash, so this might be the replacement.

Im not sure though...

I don't know what it is, but i ditched mine when fitting my FMIC, as it was blocking the airflow to my newly positioned oil cooler!!! :xmas30:
