    Exclamation iPod/iTunes - Girlfriend has a problem...

She has installed her Nano and iTunes on her windows xp machine and now her CD drives have disappeared from explorer and disk management. They show on the device manager with yellow exclamation marks saying the computer can't find them.

She managed to install iTunes from the CD drives, I guess there is some sort of problem with the iTunes installation that has knocked the CD drive(s) out, making them unusable...

Any one had this problem and managed to sort it?

in device manager what does it say when you float the cursor over the yellow exclamation? thinking it might be an address/irq conflict.

unfortunatly not at that computer so can't tell ya - just thought some of you may have had the same problem and knew how to sort it straight out to save me time..

I am/was in IT support so would probably be able to sort it out by fiddling with it anyway.

But if anyone know, let me know!

    Cheers

sounds like a driver conflict between the disk drive and i-pod.
