you need to change everything i changed when i done cats conversion.
i used her exisiting subframe with the power steering rack and that was it.
everything else was from a GT.

sam trust me, just buy a GT
theres no reason to do a conversion, u wont miss your 90 elx
They look similar, as in a GT lump without the turbo and piping, but they are no where near similar enough just to add the GT's turbo. The 1 6 gearbox wouldn't cope either.
Only other motor you can swap parts with is the bravo.
think your getting confused with doing a 1.6 turbo conversion?? well you use a sporting block but you need forged pistons, gt crank and flywheel, gt rods, GT or uno head, and more then likely standalone management.
plus as it's not a GT you would need the hubs and brakes, driveshafts, gearbox and what ever else to do a normal GT conversion.
