£500 on Laptop
I have £500 to spend on a new laptop, must be new and from a shop not e-bay. i could maybe stretch and extra £50. mostly for use on the net and possibly playing games but wont need to well specced graphics wise.
ideally
512mb 1gb if poss
not bothered about processor as long as it decent
60gb hd at least
decent graphics if possible
15"
if anyone can suggest a decent one

its gonna be a present for my neice's 18th dont think shed be happy with a second hand one. thanks anyhow

I have experienced Acer and Fujitsu Siemens laptops. I have the FS my dad has the Acer. Acer travelmate (in his case) is a much better build quality.
www.acernotebooks.co.uk they do 3 years insurance / warranty against anything for £99+vat which is a bargain.
I'd look for something with at least 4 hours battery life as in reality 3 hours is more like 90 - 120 mins when you are using the laptop.
