went out tonight to mccyds when a standard looking pug xs over to me
so i followed him got to a dual carrige way then we both floored it
and to my surprise nether of us could pull away from each other
until i hit forth gear then i started to pull away(only slightly)
i think the 306 xs is a one 1.6 but wot bhp have they got?
i have sebo,boost 1bar, k&n,magnex dtm surely i should of left him behind at start?

yeah sounds like an xsi to me 2ltr 16v 135bhp 0-60 around 8.5 secs..
they is also an 8v version but obviously this is slower
if it would have been a gti-6 you would have known about it..
GT would kill a gti 6
your only running 14.xx psi, that woudl only give you something like 110bhp absolute tops
not sure about that i've seen gt's racing my mates and ok upto around 70 then the gti-6 will pull away due to it's longer gearing. Obviously if your talking a maxed up gt then yeah you will probs kill it but a standard gti-6 is not slow - 60 in around 7.3 secs.. My mates has been cammed and chipped and is over 200 bhp and will sit with scoobies with ease.. It's hard to tell if any car has been tinkered with when u don't know it until u play with each other - most gt's will have been modded in some way just like i don't know many standard gti-6's about.. Obviously drivers do play a part too. but if he was running nearly standard boost then a standard gti-6 would beat him easily.
