    IMEI Blocked, is it dead?

    I got a phone with a blocked IMEI number, can this be reversed in anyway?

    yes but depends on who has black listed it.


    you can get it done in a back street shop for £30'ish. but it may not last for ever if an insurance company have done it. if it is only the service provider then once it is taken off it will not go back on!

    it was a service providor.....cos they sent me 2...so can i unlock it?

    yeah, you should be able to.


    you'll soon know cos if you get it done it would lock again after about 3 weeks, if it doesnt then your sorted.

    Its illegal to discuss what I think you are referring to. But anyway, a new eprom and reflash and this *problem* could be solved.

    Or contact your service provider and send back the old handset since they issued a new replacement. But apart from that, its only good for spares.
