I put my cat back on yesterday and did an emmisions test as soon as the oil was warm enough and it passed no probs. The cat had been off for two years.
As for the mot if it passes the emmisions without a cat thats ok. My car went through 3 mots with no cat.
Your car will also fail on oxogen levels as well without a cat.
when my last mot was done the emmisions test was done off a 55s that was next to mine
