First NE Rolling Road Day - 09/07/05

Ok ive been on the phone to MacDonalds Racing in Lanchester today. They have a brand new set of rollers under a year old. For anyone that knows Andy Urwin, he bought there old set of rollers which where old and thats why he doesnt give a digital read out on his set, MacDonalds do!

Its going to be £25 per car, thats with 5-10 cars showing up. This will give you a graphic print out as well as a peak @ fly and @ wheels figure.

So whos up for it? The date is now confirmed for 9th July with all meeting at the Arnison Centre for around 10am then heading over.

If more than 10 cars want to run on the rollers I need to know ASAP so I can let them know and make sure they allocate more time for our booking.

I went back down today to confirm our booking. I asked what the maximum number of cars is and he said 12 so its going to have to be first to pay £5 deposit gets a place!

A list of names I have received a deposit from will be posted on the first post.

If you want to go you need to get in touch and arrange to make payment of £5 asap. I can accept Paypal if you include £1 to cover fee's or can arrange to meet up in the Durham area.

Once £5 has been paid this leaves just £20 on the day to run on the rollers.

Sounds good as long as it's saturday like, £35 is steeper than I thought like, no discount for groups?

Doms just been quoted £60+VAT to get his done at TurboPacs, so I thought £35 was good. I didnt ask about discount on a few cars but I will do when I call to confirm date. Doubtful though.

Ok chaps, UPDATE!!

£25 per car if we get between 5-10, we already have 5 confirmed names so we are on! Its booked for the 9th July as the 16th they have another group in.

Nitrous is allowed, equipment is brand spankers, and the owner drives a coupe 20v turbo so hes into his fiats!

I need names to confirm ASAP so I can let them know. If we are going to get more than 10 cars they need to know as soon as possible so they can make sure they have enough staff on to sort it all out.

Very sound blokes. Family run business and by the look of the car park, they like caterham's!
