Bought myself a Astra SRI Turbo. Thought it was time for 2l turbo.
This is not a actually pic of mine but looks exactly the same but mine still has the standard grill.
I am very happy with it. Up to 100 I would say the punto may have the slight edge but would by minimal after that would not stand a chance.
Very different car to the GT as in the power is there from very low down like sub 2k.
Even in standard form handles very well, brakes are phenomenal, think they are 306mm discs on the front. Also nice little extras like traction control, cruise control and air con.
Only had the car a day so can't really comment much more than that. I am looking to get this car 300bhp+
Still love the punto and don't think there is a better car for the money.

Yer it don't to bad for a standard car. Thing is aswell it is very easy to to fast like u can be doing 100mph on the motorway but feels like your doing 70-80 probably cause less road noise, rattles etc...Originally Posted by CTR_Paul

my mate has a mk3 astra gsi, with a calibra turbo lump in there and all i will say is it goes, raced bmw m3 evo's and others and just laugh when you sit next to them and then pull away...

Yup thats true, the more expensive car you buy the more it costs to tune it seems
nice cars but the interior is pure bland.
