gaffa tape or masking tape

Right, when I put my skirts on ive been told that once they are on with the sikaflex I will be best to hold the with masking tape and left overnight, but masking tape doesnt seem that strong. Will the skirts stay in place on their own with the sikaflex to give me enough time to tape them? and will gaffa tape be better?

Gaffa tape may effect the paint when taking it off, masking tape will come straight off, get someone to hold the skirts on once you've applied with sikaflex, and then put quite a few strips of masking tape across and it should hold.

Masking tape straight on to the car paintwork and skirts, gaffer tape stuck on top of the masking tape. Or just use some car jacks to prop them up.
