you seem to have posted this in five bloody places?!
I know what you're going to say but there wasn't any need for that.
Elvington 10th April 2005
Well, its the 1st Car only event at Elvington this year, involving majority 1/4 mile runs and some flyers.
Just seeing who else would like to make an appearance.
Racing starts at 10.30am and finishing around about 5pm.
Racers must join the straightliners club, at a charge of £5 for the day, or £20 for full membership (recieving a tshirt too )
Classes are as follows:
Top Car
11.50 secs
12.50 secs
13.50 secs
14.50 secs
15.50 secs
If you beat your class time, you will be moved up a class automatically.
Racers must also wear a helmet when racing.
This could be a great event for a few GTs to meet and compare etc.
My plan is to Go to Donny on the Saturday and then drive from Donny to Elvington on the Sunday, if anyone wants to join me?
Responses would be appreciated so I get a rough idea of numbers.
Thanks,
David

Well ive been criticised for not including other PSC forum users in events which would have been seen as a national event. And, I presumed that people from South etc wouldnt bother to check Northern meets etc.
Just would like to make people aware of the event, as I know 1/4 mile runs have proved popular on this board. And, it would be good to have a nice turnout from PSC, and to see other cars alike, 'slug it out'.
But, point taken.

Are you sure those prices are correct? Ive heard its £5 entry, plus an extra £35 to run up the strip, although I may be mixing that with somewhere else
Same day as the South West meet.
I had the email from the organiser thsi morning.
Those prices are just to join as far as Im aware. Im not totally sure of the running prices. But, it was about £35 for as many runs as you wanted last time
So £35 to run plus £20 to join, seems like a rip off to me!

£35 is a lot to run.
£15 at pod for as many runs as possible is more like it.
south west meet sounds more fun......
