raced one in my old MKII Sporting on the motorway - quite matched. however, he did pull away ever so slightly - not a lot though.

I think, of the line they might be a bit quicker. Depends on driver skill.

based on the fact that iv experianced, witnessed and owned a vtr, the vtr is faster.

when i had a sporting, 1st and 2nd i could jus about keep up wid my mates vtr, he made about half a cars length, but when we hit 3rd or on the motorway the vtr was gone.

after my sporting, i had a black top vtr wich was only the 90bhp one and i was beating sportings easi

VTR is pretty quick. Exhaust, de cat and enclosed induction seems to free up a fair bit of power on them. Totally changed my mates VTR when he did it to his. I reckon the VTR will be slightly quicker than the sporting in a straight line.

yeah, ive heard induction kits actually make a difference when you put them on a saxo.

Believe it or not but the green enclosed induction kit does actually produce a slight power gain on the VTR/S. They're designed to suck in all the the air that comes through the front grille, so no hot air from the engine is leaked in.
