There is a guy in town that apparently has a Mazda 323 1.6 turbo twin cam meat injection and has said it would trounce my car. All I want to know is if this car exists and how they compare? Ive only seen him once and the car looks like a grale :-| (and if it goes like it sounds then...bugger).

Yeh it looks similar to that pic but the front lights are different im sure their more like the grale. Then again might be an old style one cos it is an 'F' reg...white with red mud flaps :-oOriginally Posted by xploitGT
is it tuned? if so i would recommend leaving it well alone they are rapid. i have seen them kill 500 hp skylines down the quater mile, as they are a downtuned group B rally car. and i know this as a mechanic at my place owns one.
323, Familia and Ford lazer turbo's are common as hens teeth in NZ. Its a typical "boys" car.
Early BF shape is 1.6L DOHC 16V turbo FWD or 4WD
Later BG shape is 1.8L DOHC 16V 4WD turbo
Fords are the same just rebadged
Then there is the familia GTR
That link is to a Familia GTR.Originally Posted by xploitGT
The early BF 1.6L 4WD would have a problem with a GT. The 1.8L would be close but it only runs 7psi standard. Run 14psi in it and you will be laughing.
Run 15-18psi and an exhaust in a GTR and you'll be racing EVOs and STI's
ugly tho
each to their own
