Installing a new O.S.
I'm selling my old computer. I've got rid of all my files/programs. But I had the OS registered to me, so I have to put my username/password in on log on. I just want to re-install Win 2000, so its just like a fresh machine, with out any of my details on it.
How do I do that?
cheers

Punto know it all
using a boot disk for dos or windows2000. exit any setup program if loaded so your left at the dos prompt C:\> or suchlike, and run from a:\Format.com c:
that will wipe your HDD.

you need to have dos on a floppy or cd and boot up the pc from the disk. you can find it on any boot disk.
if you dont have one you can make one at www.bootdisk.com
hope that helps mate.
