Have you installed yours with a AHEMdodgyAHEM key?
And is downloadable here... http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...ylang=en<br />
Please research into the pro's and con's of this upgrade before doing so as there have actually been alot of changes to the operability of windows. Security being upped is in the forefront of Microsoft's mind.
I've installed it on a laptop, and so far so good. A few differences that are needing attention, like where the properties for the LAN has been hidden or moved too. If availiable at all.....
It's reflected in the size at a whopping 266mb (uncompressed to around 277mb).
Cheers,
Phil

im not gonna install yet, also are there 2 copies of sp2??
one for pro users ie the 266mb one and an 80mb for home users?
I have been trying out SP2 and i have used a slip streaming tool that will incorporate the service pack into your copy of windows xp so it automatically installs SP2 when you do your normal windows xp installation.
If you need the file then just PM me

btw zeus, how long did it take to install??
not download but install, as i have heard of it taking over an hour
whats an hour??
Just start it up and go cook some dinner
An hour is rediculous for an update these days. It would be quicker to format and reinstall windows with sp2 includedOriginally Posted by soche

i'm not sure if there is a version for home, i believe it's one for all.
i've instaled it only on machines with valid keys.
