Bump. Turns out the original one has warped under the extra heat, replaced with another standard one for now but still looking for a decent 4-2-1 stainless steel jobie

    You could fit a 75 manifold & downpipe? That's what I did

Yeah I did think about that Beau but the problem is I still dont think it will take the extra heat once wrapped

I've never seen a manifold heat shield on a 1.2 8v? And I noticed a good difference when it was wrapped so I'd like it done

    fit one off the sporting?

well i can tell you that i put a super sprint manifold on a sporting 16v and it made it slower! so yeah be careful, think someone told me they need back pressure so thats probably why.

Naturally aspirated engines need back pressure!

If you're increasing fuelling (cams and remap) and raising compression and rev limit, then a freer flowing exhaust will help, but, on a standard engine you'll lose some torque going too free flow...

Well i've just got the mcrich chipped ecu and pipercross panel filter but standard cam, it was running really well (until head gasket went again yesterday) so maybe i'll keep it as is and not bother with the manifold. Possibly go de-cat though?
