    Evo replacement

So I sold the Evo two weeks ago today. Didn't really want to but circumstances changed. Got a little'un on the way so Wifeys work car will have to go back next month so we need a car she can use once the sprog arrives. So it was either she use the Evo or we get a car she can use...

We decided on an A4 Avant TDI. Bit different to the rally car, think I like it just as much tho. Just popped along the road to take a few snaps before it got dark...

    Congratulations on the baby news

Looks like a decent car for her, I'm guessing you'll stick to the clio then??

I bet someone paid a premium for the evo!!

Yeah I'll use the clio. Don't really want the jam eater going round in a 340hp clio LOL.

I got decent moniez for the Evo, could probably have held out for another 500 quid or so but would rather it went to someone who will look after it like the lad who bought it. From Peterborough if anyone see's it knocking about.

Mate has one of these for the same reason.sprog arrived so their a4 cabrio had to go.its the 170ps tdi fwd version.i drove it 2 weeks ago and what surprised me was the way it revved so freely-very petrol like and nice to drive with strong torque. Last diesels i drove were peugeot 309 1.9D's 65ps and they were how i remember diesels.theyve come on amazingly since.
Im sure youll love yours.that red is really vivid. Actually prefer the a4 avant over the saloon......

Haha cheers! Would have loved to have kept the Evo but the amount it was used it just wasn't feasible.

Assuming its the CR170 engine? They are great and have come a long way from the older diesel engines, even the PD which was still widely in use a couple of years ago. They remap nicely too

Yeah it is, nice smooth engine, and you can barely hear it when you're driving. Not mapping it until the warranty is up though. Should map to around 200hp and 300lbft I reckon.

Did a couple hundred miles since I got it, would have done more than a tank in the Evo, done just over a 1/4 in this.
