now thats a totally different spec. manuals say 0.40/0.50 chap from Italy says they are both 0.45, dan says 0.40/0.50 and now you reckon its 0.40/0.45! sure youre not confusing that with the tolerance of 0.05mm????

where did you get those specs from?

I'm sure it's .40 and .45 and I'll check my shims I have many spare ones

Id like to know how many you have and the numbers that are stamped on them.not buying a bunch of shims that be ive already got.

revised list now only need 3 shims +/- 0.01mm

punt0Gt7 - are you going to tell me the sizes or are you "out"?

check your sizes if possible as every shim i had came up higher by 0.01mm than the stamped size ie;
stamped 3.45 but measured 3.46
