    punto gt track rod ends

Is it me or do GTs eat track rod ends?

Managed to check mine today and bear in mind its not lowered silly low but 35-40mm and the tre's were new about 2 years ago yet the rubbers are split and there is no grease left inside.
In the 5 years ive had this car its had 2 sets and this will be the 3rd set......

Sigh. Who knows. Many things will affect them on your own car/driving.

The last set i put on ny cab have been on 6 years done 6500 miles so far.

Last set on the grande did 8000 miles in 1 year and needed changing again next mot.

Rubber spits. Bad batch. Unlucky stone one day. Its not unheard of.

Yeah i know folk that drive more than me and are lower than me and just wondered if its a general punto thing or related to the degree of lowering......any the mot is due next month and have a pair i can fit.if the one sides split i dare say the other side will be but i like to change stuff like this in pairs to maintain steering....

I changed mine once in 45k miles... So could be a bad batch for you...

Had a few different heights, standard, -35mm front/rear, -60mm front -40mm rear, and -35mm front and -40mm rear.

I generally used to drive hard everywhere and there were loads of speed bumps and potholes on the way to and from work!

as far as my experience with 2 uno turbos (10 year so far), the same thing happens to lowered uno's with lowered and stiffened suspensions
