    Stripping my 1.2 60sx

Hi all going to be sending my old 1.2 to the promise land soon and was wandering if there is any parts worth keeping for a gt? Mainly spare bolts etc?

    3dr?
depends if is needs to be rolling or not as to what you can snatch but not a lot to carry over for the GT bar some handy minor spares.
first up test all the electricals that you might want to whip away before removing em to find they are gashed.

any new parts recently fitted that you can sell.
front window glasses and rear 1/4s useful if one gets smashed on the GT but mainly the fronts as the rears are ten a penny at breakers.
all of the relays in the glovebox
    rubber bonnet water seals?
think the electric window switch on the passenger side is the same as the GT so a useful spare.
    fuel rail with injectors
if its a post 1997 SX with the GT3 style coded manual mirrors - have them off. not electric but they still sell or the caps will sell.
if your SX has fog lights in front bumper - have em.
if its a wide mouth front bumper colour coded someone might need one for a Sporting (or they can drill the holes for GT washers).
    aerial
check if the door seals on yours are worn/perished or looking flattened. if they are and the ones on the SX are looking clean and not flat then swap em. the doors will thump closed nicer too.

you could check the condition of the radiator lower support bar and if its better than your GT one have it and do the swap. they rust badly due to leaking rads and flushing water etc.
    bonnet cable and interior pull
    cigar lighter LOL
    some fuses are always handy.......
    rear boot light
    front dash top speakers
take the pedal rubbers if good condition
central locking door motors if the SX has CL.
maybe the battery if its ok for a GT.
    seat belts if all good.
i dont know if the clutch master cylinder is the same as a GT but if so worth having - the slaves are different so no good.
wipers or arms in " "
rear wiper motor unless yours has been deleted
    bulbs
    locking petrol cap with key
if you need them and if the SX still has them - the wheel arch liners
scuttle panel if better than yours
maybe the front wiper motor for spares
sometimes a set of std 14" steelies can be handy but like i say if it needs to be rolling......... or have them off when its on the truck. could fit winter tyres on em in the future....... or just sell em.
does the GT need a new petrol tank? you could swap those for the plastic tank and change the pump over.
i guess there is a remote chance somebody may need an ECU with code box and all the matching locks, keys and ignition barrel so possibly worth bagging that lot together and selling as a set ......i hate seeing waste and it could save someone from the manure.

i doubt the rest is worth keeping like lights etc......depends how much space youve got to store them and patience waiting for buyers. in theory you could take it down to a virtual shell and sit on the doors bonnet wings boot etc and even the motor and gearbox

Personally id completley strip it and store everything in my shed.

Youll get the same scrap price whatever you do i think.

Get a plastic box/tray from poundstretcher and everybolt goed into it.
