Going to get my sump cover powder coated as its looking rough (chance to clean it inside, inspect the bearings and oil pump too) and was wondering on refitting do I need to be using any kind of silicone "sealant" in addition to the standard fiat gasket? Got a brand new cork gasket to go on but not sure if they are enough on their own.......

People tend to use shitloads of sealer. Hence why i had to rebuild my engine in the first place when i bought it. Supposedly rebuilt 2000 miles earlier.
I've just got a cork gasket in place and it's A1 no leaks
