Any computer nerds know how to get around the Cinavia issue on the PS3? Sound loss on ripped DVDs/blue rays?
I get message error 3 after 20 mins of playback, obviously a deterrent but there must be a way around it on the PS3, running firmware 4.46.

Which console do you have? the 'Phat' , slim, or new 'super slim'? You can on a hacked / JB PS3 on the older consoles - most of the firmwares offer it (or they did last time i looked). Is 4.46 the latest? if genuine FW then I dont think you can. PS3hax.net used to be an invaluable resource, maybe worth a look
Pretty sure you can sort it another way too through re-encoding them but not sure off top of head - I'm sure some far more nerdy people will be along to help
Yeah it's the original big boy ps3 500gb version, no not running the latest version FW as its two hours to do so lol
Will have a look at that website then, lots of semi answers on YouTube but nothing fool proof
May try encoding then...
I just disconnect the ps3 from the internet when watching a film it has not done it so far
